Easter 2011

Our Easter weekend started with Grey having a fever of 104.7 and a horrible virus in this throat. After a trip to see Dr. Church on Friday and a lot of Ibuprofen and Tylenol, he was up to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at Grandma Woodman's house.

I gave myself some blue lips by licking a blue Whopper and using it for lip stick.

Sunday morning uncle Jaret came over but we did not take pictures. We started off with Easter brunch and then had an Easter egg hunt in our back yard. My Dad is in Texas for a while so he was not able to come. However, him and Jaret bought Greydon his first RC remote control car. It is awesome and easy enough for a 2 year old to control. They also bought him a new movie.

Sunday afternoon we went to Grandma Diana's for another Egg hunt and a BBQ. I took my camera this time.

Darin's clever way of hiding the eggs, he put them in nests.

It was a great Easter and I was so glad that we were able to get Greydon feeling good enough to go to all of the fun Egg hunts that were planned for him. He was spoiled rotten and has enough candy for the next year.

Fun times

Here are a few fun pictures from the last few weeks

Greydon found his Dad's glasses. He looked adorable even though they were upside down.

He got this large canvas bag from my Dad for Christmas. He likes to get in it with his Woody doll and have Darin swing him.

He found his old bathtub under his bed and loves to sit in it and pretend.

We bought this swing set from one of our friends. It is a few years old, but we don't care. Greydon loves to play on it.

We recently celebrated Darin's success at work with Pizza and Champagne. It is a very odd combination but Greydon loves to have Papa Murphy's pizza on Friday nights.

George Strait and Reba

I have always wanted to see George in concert and the last time he came to SLC, I was in labor with Greydon. When I heard he was coming again I was Johnny on the spot getting my tickets. I waited until the second they went on sale and bought 4 of them. I ended up getting the tickets on the 14th row on the floor! We took our good friend Tyler and his date with us. We started out with sushi at Happy Sumo in the Gateway and then we headed over to the show.

The set up for the show had a center stage and there were people seated all the way around the Energy Solutions Arena. This meant for A LOT of people, but it was well organized and not too chaotic. We were able to walk up to the stage several times and be within 10 feet of both performers. It was so much fun and an experience I will never forget.

Arizona Vacation 2011

We just got back from a sunny Arizona vacation. We flew out of SLC to Phoenix. It was Greydon's first plane ride and we were all a little nervous on how he would do and he actually did really well. I don't have pic of the plane because I was too busy trying to keep Greydon occupied and happy. We made it to AZ tear free.

Once we got to Arizona we rented a Jeep Patriot and drove 2 hours to Quartzsite Arizona to visit Rick (Darin's Dad). It was a long day of traveling and we were glad to finally arrive. While with Rick we played outside in the sun, went for a 4 wheeler ride and watched a few movies. Rick had been saving a clothes dryer box for Gredydon to play in and he loved it.  We spent one afternoon in Yuma AZ visiting my step grandparents JD and Barb. They treated us to a nice lunch at Lutz which is a cool place with all sorts of weird things hanging on the walls. Darin's favorite part was they filled the urinals with ice in the men's room (guys are so easy to please).

On Saturday morning we made the 3 hour drive to Eloy to visit our good friends Dennis and Hailey Conroy and their new baby Reagan. It was so good to see them and we had so much fun! They have a really nice house that has a pool area with a kitchenette and exercise area. On Saturday we played by the pool and had a BBQ. I quickly learned that pools and toddlers are not fun. Greydon had no fear and wanted to jump in the water head first if I would have let him. I was a nervous wreck. Sunday the boy's went and played a round of golf and after all of us went to the Eloy airport where Dennis works and had lunch. We got to watch the wind tunnel which is like a sky dive simulator, it was way neat.

Monday afternoon we returned home and one again Greydon did great on the plane. In fact on this ride he kept putting Woddy (his doll) up against the window and telling him to look. It was really cute. I never thought I would love my son to have a toy doll, but they sure are great friends.

Here is a long list of pics:
Greydon and Woody in the car
Playing in the rocks at Grandpa Soctt's (all yards are rock in AZ)

Playing in Rica's kennel which was not a very clean place to play. He kept going in there and lying down and saying "nigh night mommy."

The beloved cardboard box was so much fun

Looking out of the window at Dad

We found this beautiful cactus out in the desert on our 4 wheeler ride. The flowers on the end were beautiful and the needles were 2 inches long.

Baby Reagan

Greydon had a hay day with this stroller. He took Woody and Reagan's pink bear for lots of rides.

I just realized that I am not in any of these pictures. I guess next time I will hand the camera to Darin.

St. Patricks Day Parade

We celebrated St. Patty's day this past Saturday by going to the parade in Salt Lake City. We rode the Front Runner to the Gateway and it was a lot of fun. Greydon is totally into Choo Choo's these days so he had a blast riding on one.
