Darin's 30th Birthday!

Darin turned the big 30 on December the 5^th. I had planned a surprise birthday dinner for him at Roosters Brewery in Ogden. It was fantastic! So many great friends were able to make it and celebrate with us. In fact, 25 people in all!. Darin said he figured I had something up my sleeve but he was still surprised to see how many people came to dinner. It made him feel great!

Darin got a new shop vac for his birthday. Grey was a great help in putting it together.

Finding Snow

We went on another adventure to our family cabin in Alta, WY. I have felt a little disappointed that we have not had any snow so far this year. Well, we found PLENTY of snow in Alta. In fact we had to cut our getaway short in order to beat the worst of the storm and get home safely. It snowed about 24 inches in two days. Here are some fun pics.

A late Halloween post

Greydon wanted to be Supper Goof for Halloween. It took some creativeness and some sewing, but Darin and I pulled it off. He looked so cute!

 We had a great Halloween this year. It was so much fun to watch Greydon get excited over the parties and trick or treating.  We went to a party at the Glaer’s one night. It was a blast! They had a piñata, cupcake decorating and treat bag’s for all the kids. Greydon really had fun. The following Sunday we went to Diana’s for a party with the cousins. They all looked so cute in there costumes. Halloween was on Monday so Greydon got to have a party at his school and then come home, carve pumpkins and go trick or treating. 

Fall Fun!

We absolutely love Fall!! It is so beautiful and the air seems so fresh and crisp.  Earlier in the summer we planted a pumkin plant so that Grey could watch his pumpkin grow all summer long. For the last month anytime someone would come over he wanted to take them outside to see his pumpkin. We finally cut the pumpkins off the vine last weekend. We let Greydon use the clippers and cut each one all by himself. It was a lot of fun. All of the pumpkins were pretty small and some of them did not turn very orange. Oh well, we did our best.

We also took a Ranger ride from Mantua up to the Avon area. The colors were amazing! We had a nice family picnic along the way. The bandanas probably look a little funny around our necks but there are parts of the trails that have a lot of other off road traffic and can get very dusty. We put the bandanas over our nose and mouth like bank robbers so we don’t have to eat the dust. It works great!

A trip to the cabin

We recently took a trip to our family cabin in Alta, WY, with my brother Jaret. It is so nice and peaceful up there. We were able to celebrate my Granny’s 81^st birthday with her on October 8th. She made me my favorite dinner of Corned Beef and Cabbage YUMY!!.  On our way home we went to Bear World in Idaho. It was so neat! The bears are so close to you it is scary.  The petting zoo was awesome. Greydon got to pet an actual deer, pig, goats, chickens and a albino elk.  They also had a few amusement rides for him to go on. It was great!

Grandpa Rick's Farm

Rick has been staying on a nice lady’s farm this summer, He has been helping her out around the farm an exchange he can park his trailer there and stay for free. Darin, Greydon and I went there recently to check things out. Greydon loved the tractors and chasing the chickens.

Darin's creation

This is Darin's cute way of showing Greydon he loves him. Avocado is one of Grey's favorite treats and Darin made this a special "Mickey Mouse" Avocado. He diced the ears in pieces then carefully placed them back together. He is so sweet. The middle portion is mashed potatoes one of Greydons other fav's.

Mickey Mouse

Greydon is in love with Mickey Mouse. We watch at least 3 episodes a day and talk about Mickey all the time. Great Grandma Woodman recently went to Disney Land and sent Greydon a red Mickey Mouse shirt that he loves. Here are some pic's of him in his new shirt and wearing  Mr. Potato Head's glasses.

Peach Days

Darin went out of town for the weekend so Greydon and I went to the Brigham City Peach Day's with our neighbors. It was very crowded but lots of fun. Greydon rode on the Choo Choo train, a monster truck and went down the huge slide a couple of times. He also played the fishing game where you are guaranteed a prize each time. He picked out a red toy car as his prize.
