January

January has been a fun month for us. We got to go skiing with some Friends. We celebrated my 30th birthday in Lava Hot springs and my great friend Hailey had a new baby so there has been a lot of excitement. Greydon is going great and is starting to put two or three words together at a time. He loves to tell me stories and I am starting to understand most of them. He just gets funner and funner each day.

The big 30!

I hit a big milestone in my life yesterday...I'm now 30 years old! It is hard to believe because I feel like I turned 21 last week. There were a lot of celebrations for my birthday but no pictures.

I went with my dad, brother, Darin and Greydon to Maddox. I had never eaten there before and I thought it was fantastic.  The next night my mother in law Diana had a Turkey dinner in honor of my birthday and to top it off yesterday my mom cooked me my favorite meal, corned beef and cabbage. Needless to say I am extremely full and happy.

I think my 30's are going to be great! I hope to expand my family, knowledge and  friendships and win the lottery.

New Years!

Our New years celebration was very mellow this year. We went over to my friend Becca's house for a few hours. We enjoyed yummy treats and Greydon loved playing with McCall and Miles and the other children there. We got home just in time to watch the ball drop for the east coast new years celebration. We knew Grey would not make it until midnight, so we went ahead and let him beat on pots and pans after the ball dropped around 9 pm. Greydon also made a "party hat" at his day care that week. So with his party hat on we banged on pots and pans for some time and then sent him off to bed.

Grandma Hogan's Christmas Village

My Grandma Hogan collected the Dicken's Village Christmas Village for as long as I can remember. I am guessing she had well over 100 pieces so it was a very expensive collection. She took so much pride in her village! Towards the end of her years she began to leave the village up all year long because it was becoming too much work to take it down and put it back up. When she passed away we split her village between all of the grandchildren. One of my fondest memories of this village growing up was that Gram had several crystal animals that were about an inch tall. They were Sevorski crystal and very fragile and pretty. Gram would hide these crystal animals throughout her village and then us grand kids would try to find them. This was difficult because the were nearly invisible against the fake white snow. My dad gave Greydon a Savorski crystal bear on his first Christmas, so I thought it would be fit to display it in my pieces of Gram's collection.

Gram's Dickens Village had street lights, pebble sidewalks and everything you can imaging to make it magnificent. I don't have all of those things or the patients, but you can see my part of her collection below.

Chrsitmas Day

Christmas this year was so much fun with Greydon. He had a blast opening all of his presents and got spoiled rotten. Grandma and Grandpa Woodman came over first thing in the morning to see what Santa brought and open presents before they headed to Arizona

 After Grandma Scott's we went to Papa Marlowe's house to see him and Uncle Jaret. Unfortunately Darin forgot our camera and all of the pictures are on my Dad's camera. As soon as he sends them to me I will add them. Darin and Greydon got nice LL Bean bags with their initials for traveling. Greydon got a dump truck that you ride from Uncle Jaret and I got a nice new watch, a sweater and a beautiful handmade picture frame that my dad made himself. Like I said, pictures are soon to come.

After Papa Marlowe's we went to my Aunt Tunies were Greydon played on this fun stuffed horse.

We stayed home all day on Sunday and played with our new Toys.  I love the below picture of Grey and Woody.

My little Helper

Lately Grey wants to help me do everything, especially pull laundry out of the dryer and tell me who each sock belongs to...Daddy, Baby or Mommy.

I guess I should be thankful because one day he won't want to help Mom with out an allowance. It is amazing how he grows every day.
