Greydon's Play Room

We have been working on finishing some of our basement this winter. I decided on utilizing the space under our stairs as a play room for Greydon. I picked the brightest colors I could and went to town. It turned out super cute! we even cut a window out so he can look up the stairs and added a magnetic chalk board. These pictures were taken before the carpet was put in.

Happy Birthday Jaret

For Jaret's birthday we went to Fat Cat's and ate pizza, played video games, miniature golf and bumper cars. It was a lot of fun! We won a lot of tickets and thought for sure we would be able to redeem them for something cool...we were wrong over 800 tickets and we got a cheap plastic microphone, cheap plastic car and a few tootsie rolls. It was OK because Grey love it all anyways. My mom also had a separate dinner for him too (but I did not take pictures).

Happy Birthday to Me

This year it seemed as if my birthday lasted a week (probably because it did). The Saturday before we went out to dinner with some of best friends to Kobe. It is one of my favorite restaurants and I was so glad some of my friends could come. The next day we went to Diana's for dinner to celebrate my birthday and Amy's. The food was yummy and everyone had a great time. It is always fun to get Greydon around his cousins to play he has such a fun time. When Tuesday came (my actual birthday) Darin, Greydon and I went to Maddox in Brigham city for dinner. They have delicious prime rib! The for the last celebration the following Thursday we went to my Mom's for dinner since Jaret had that day off. She made me corned beef and cabbage (my favorite) and a yummy cake for desert. I was lucky enough to have Maree and Lilli join us too.

Overall it was a great birthday. Lot's of food, family and friends!

Finally a little Snow

We finally got a few inches of snow and were able to go out in the back yard and play in it. We have a small hill in our back yard and it made a great sledding hill for us. We all had a great time in the snow!

Happy New Year!

We had a great time bringing in the New Year. Our neighbors, the Macum’s invited us over to their house to celebrate. My Mom and James came over and we took these fun pictures and then we all went to the party together. It was a great time!

The Crazy Christmas Holidays

December was a very busy and exciting month for us. We had several family parties, work parties, friend parties, Darin’s birthday and of course had to prepare for Santa to come. I guess you could say I am a Bah humbug, because I don’t like Christmas and would rather go on vacation =). This year was different than most. Maybe because Grey is getting older and really starting to enjoy things or because things went a little smoother than normal. For the first time in about 10 years, I had both of my parents under the same roof on Christmas morning. I’m might have to wait another 10 years for it to happen again, but it was wonderful. We hosted a Christmas Eve dinner at our place. Some of our neighbors, family and friends came over for a yummy dinner and some holiday cheer. Jaret and my dad spent the night and at and my mom and James were at the front door ready to go. We woke Grey up and he was so excited to see what Santa had brought him. After presents we were off to Grandma Scott’s to open gifts and have lunch with all of the cousins. Rick made some great tacos and we quickly dove into the gifts. Then back home to our house with just enough time to have a quick nap and then head to Uncle Mike and aunt Tunie’s house for dinner and another round of presents.  Greydon got a ton of presents and it would be impossible to list them all. He really liked his leather recliner, Train table, new soft blankie and little tyke’s castle. He even got a leap frog electronic game to help him learn his letters.

Grey got some money in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Great Woodman. He was so excited! We put it in his piggy bank until he is old enough to spend it.
